Dear friends of Modefabriek,
Modefabriek has unfortunately been forced to cancel the live trade event planned for 11 & 12 July 2021. In light of the ever-changing coronavirus measures, there were still many unanswered questions regarding how admission policy was to be implemented. As a result of this prolonged period of uncertainty, we do not feel that we are in the position to guarantee our exhibitors and visitors an event of the quality and scale that you have come to expect from Modefabriek.
Caroline Krouwels, Director of Modefabriek: ‘We are delighted that so many brands have committed to joining Modefabriek, that gives us a great deal of faith in the future. From the countless conversations we have had with the market, we know that the brands and buyers are dying to see each other again. And we hate the fact that the live event cannot go ahead as planned, as we were all set-up for meeting face-to-face’.
The kick-off of the season, traditionally live at Modefabriek, will be online one more time. We would like to invite brands and retailers to join Digital Fashion Week Europe, organised by Modefabriek in collaboration with CIFF and Fashion Cloud from 6 to 8 July. Dutch brands including Summum, Ichi, Goosecraft, Scotch & Soda, Juffrouw Jansen and Petrol Industries will digitally present their collections during this event.
Modefabriek remains positive about the future, and we see it as our utmost responsibility to unite the fashion industry in person in January 2022. But that is a long time to wait until our next meeting, which is why – in addition to Digital Fashion Week Europe in July – we are also organising a creative, inspirational live event in autumn 2021. More information will follow soon! By organising events such as these, we keep business alive and help to keep the industry united.
We hope to see you soon at all of our events, both online and live!
