Modefabriek Must Do’s

The Modefabriek Musts are our chance to keep you updated on inspiring activities within fashion, arts and culture. In March 2022 you can indulge yourself in fashion during De Grote Kunstshow with Bas Kosters live in theaters, exhibition Vorm aan de Vecht with Dutch fashion designers, and DressUndress in Modemuseum Hasselt about the weakness for nudity in fashion. Enjoy!

Bas Kosters, one of the Netherlands' most unique fashion artist, is the central figure in this special edition of De Grote Kunstshow. An hour-and-a-half-long show, with light, music, monologues, theatre and interviews and a lot of fashion. De Grote Kunstshow with Bas Kosterrs: in theaters in Amsterdam (11+12 March), Arnhem (19+20 March), and in April in Den Haag, Utrecht, Eindhoven.

At Buitenplaats Doornburgh, from 18 March - 25 September you can visit the exhibition ‘Vorm aan de Vecht’. In the former monastery on the river Vecht, curator Nicole Uniquole collected work by more than fifty (fashion) designers, artists and photographers. Amongst them are Jan Taminiau and Iris van Herpen.

From 26 February to 10 November, fashion museum Hasselt hosts the exhibition DressUndress about the fascination for nudity in fashion. With designs by Vivienne Westwood, Olivier Theyskens, Walter Van Beirendonck, Elsa Schiaparelli, Alexander McQueen, Raf Simons, Alaïa, Comme des Garçons, Ann Demeulemeester, Versace, Maison Margiela, Jean Paul Gaultier, you can see how designers have manipulated the body through clothing in recent decades.
