Just a little while and then the time has come: Modefabriek January 2023. In this post, we'll briefly update you on what to expect on 22 + 23 January. We introduce you to some special speakers, highlight the collabs and we give a sneak peek of the trends on our new TRENDFORUM.

(NEW) TRENDFORUM, In collaboration with trendwatcher David Shah of VIEW Publications.

Get to know the eight biggest fashion trends for winter 23/24 in a special way. The TRENDFORUM is a special exhibition at Modefabriek where you can see, feel, and experience. From loose fabrics and inspiring colours to photo collages and unique garments. We make a translation to the trends and bring them directly to the Modefabriek visitors.

A few trends that you can expect:

  • Extravagant: Explosive and expressive. Clearly present shapes and colours that are expressed in a unique way.
  • Flourish: Where biotechnology and science come together. With influences from nature such as earth tones and lots of greenery.
  • Strange Attraction: Quitesensible and experimental. Balancing between reality and virtuality.
  • Funhouse: Embracing imperfection. Playful, colourful, lively and boundless.

“We have never done a Trendforum in this size before and is a new step for Modefabriek in professionalizing the event.” - Creatief directeur Caroline Krouwels.

A selection from the program:

Jan Agelink, trendwatcher | Identiteit en expressie in de mode

According to trendwatcher Jan Agelink, how you present yourself to the outside world is based on feelings and behavior. For example, someone seeking comfort often wears different clothes than someone who feels strong and confident. How this works through in the fashion of AW 23/24, you will learn during this Talk.

Arno Kantelberg, style pastor | What Dutch men will wear this autumn

Can we help the Dutch man find his way through the jungle of men's fashion trends for this autumn? Yes, but Arno Kantelberg would like to sound the alarm for a clothing trend that threatens to return!

Valérie Ntantu, stylist and creative | The ultimate styling tips & tricks

In this Masterclass, Valérie shares her ultimate styling and branding tips for creating creative, effective, and accessible fashion images that can be used in campaigns, lookbooks and socials. Valérie has worked for LINDA Meiden, &C Magazine, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, JAN Magazine and Tommy Hilfiger.

Stephany Goncalves, communications director Oona Agency | Storytelling is key

Putting your community first is quite difficult. Where do you start and what are the do's and don'ts? Stephany Concalves explains it in her Masterclass. She also talks about storytelling: what is it exactly and how can you use it to better position your product in the market?

Please note: this is by no means the complete programming. In total there is a choice of 12 different masterclasses, 10 talks and much more. Curious about the full program? Click here
